What The Award Means

Achieving accreditation and/or certification means that our staff has made an extra effort to review and improve our ability to offer expert staffing services. Accreditation and certification by The Joint Commission are considered the gold standard in health care. Specially trained health care professionals who are experts in their fields conducted a review that monitors how well our staff:

- Provides a framework for organizational structure and management
- Provides a competitive edge in the marketplace
- Enhances staff recruitment and development
- Is recognized by insurers and other third parties
- May reduce liability insurance costs

About The Process

Our organization voluntarily underwent a thorough evaluation by The Joint Commission. The goal of the evaluation was to see if our organization meets the Joint Commission's rigorous performance standards in delivering quality, safe care. By meeting these standards, our organization received The Gold Seal of Approval is an internationally recognized symbol of quality.

We went through the following steps to become certified:
- A thorough review of The Joint Commission standards
- Complete internal assessment of our current processes in comparison to The Joint Commission standards
- Resolve any gaps in our programs against the standards
- Apply for the Healthcare Staffing Certification
- Meet all the performance measurements set forth by The Joint Commission

Ongoing Performance Measurement

The Gold Seal of Approval means flexup DIRECT has adopted a set of standardized performance measures set by the Joint Commission specific for per diem and travel temporary clinical staff.

The set includes these measure topics:
- Do not return
- Completeness of personnel file
- Voluntary turnover
- Reason for voluntary turnover

Our organization collects monthly data for each required measure in the set. The data is then submitted quarterly to The Joint Commission.
